Do It Yourself – Cable Organization

By

I’ve tried a number of the cable organizers on the market and I confess that I haven’t found one that works well.  I can’t stand looking at the cables and cords that come from the computer and other electronics – so I’ve come up with my own fix.  I had my husband mount a small shelf under my desk to hold the modem, backup, my postal scale and all the other necessary equipment.  I then went through and cleaned up the cords and got them to lie as nicely as possible.  Next step = fabric store.  I purchased a pretty piece of fabric and fit to cover all the cables and cords.  It is still very easy to access if I need to do repair work.  I also have the outlet right on the shelf for quick shut down or to easily get to my power cords.
