Perfectly Savvy Finds
Posted by: | CommentsHi Everyone,
‘Tis the season for catalog and magazine delivery. I urge you NOW to streamline your process for handling catalogs so that you are not receiving copies that you don’t want. It adds to the clutter and is a waste of materials.
1. Call and remove yourself from mailing lists if you don’t look at. Yes it takes time, but consider it your duty to help protect the environment.
2. Alternatively you can use a FREE service like Catalog Choice. I’ve used this for a number of years and it is easy. It will work for a large number of publications.
3. Come up with a plan of how you will recycle the catalogs. I still receive a few from stores that I frequent. The girls and I like to sit together and “dream shop”. I have a magazine caddy and they go there for a period of time. After that I weed through and recycle. Have a specific location for the catalogs so that they are not all over the house and don’t allow for major expansion. Decide on an amount of space for the catalogs and stick to it!
Perfectly Savvy Finds
Posted by: | CommentsHi Everyone,
Your Savvy Finds this week feature an assortment of the latest and greatest lunch boxes for back to school. When I was a kid I had my trusty Wonder Woman lunch box. Things have certainly changed. There are a number of eco-friendly options, and I’m particularly interested in the KidsKonserve sandwich bags. Have fun with my selections and send your kids back to school toting healthy lunches in style.
Back to School – Homework Center Repost
Posted by: | CommentsHi Everyone,
It is that time when we need to start thinking about back to school. I’m slowly but surely completing little projects around the house that will help prepare the family for what lies ahead. It is a good time to stop and make certain your kids will have a place to put all of their homework and important papers when they run through the door. Please visit my post from January on creating a little homework center for the kids. I’ll be back on Friday with some Savvy Finds that will help support your homework center.
